Before you bring your Maltese angel home, buy a good book on Maltese and read it. There are great resources on the Web, also. Do your research before your puppy arrives, and you'll feel more relaxed. Maltese are very sensitive to emotions. If you are calm and controlled, your puppy will be more relaxed, too.
Spayed females cannot get pregnant, so there'll be no accidental litters. They also cannot get mammary or uterine cancer or pyometra, an infection of the uterus.
Neutering reduces the male's tendency to wander in search of females in heat, his need to mark every corner of his territory, and his penchant for aggression and dominance. It also eliminates the chances of testicular cancer.
We at Royalty Paws care a great deal about our dogs. Our puppies are not raised in kennels but rather in our home with our family and treated as family. Our dogs, as well as the puppies are socialized throughout the day.
We are a small hobby breeder located in Surprise, Arizona. Our household consists of me, Cassandra, my husband, and my 7 year old daughter. We currently have 1 female Maltese, 1 male Maltese, 1 female Shih Tzu, and 2 female Siberian Huskies (we do not breed huskies). We use a Stud Service for our male Shih Tzu.
